The committee is heartbroken to announce that our Treasurer, Titia Bohlken, has resigned from her office due to relocating back to her homeland of the Netherlands. We thank Titia for generous gift of time and knowledge to the committee and the Association over such a long period of time; and the Association and committee will keenly feel her loss.

At the March committee meeting, pursuant to the Association constitution, two motions were passed to address the vacancy, effective April 5th:

• Karina Halys was appointed to the role of Treasurer, vacated by Titia, to serve out the remainder of the term of that role.
• Ursula Menz was appointed to the management committee into the role of Secretary, vacated by Karina Halys, to serve out the remainder of the term for that role.

These appointment and role changes will help the committee address skill and capacity shortages, and ensure people are placed in roles where the Association can draw the maximum benefit from their skills and knowledge.

We are excited to have Ursula Menz, who brings a wealth of knowledge on running fencing associations, join the committee and thank her for her willingness to serve.
